April 9, 2008

On Sunday 27th April Lower Regent Street will be transformed into an A1GP grid, with the cars of all 22 competing nations represented.

Visitors will have the chance to meet the teams and drivers. There will be a live stage and jumbo screens running race highlights and driver interviews from the packed 2007/2008 season.

F1 legends Emerson Fittipaldi and Alan Jones will also attend and to mark the series’ new partnership with Ferrari, the pair of 599 GTB supercars used as championship safety cars will also be displayed.

The show will be used to promote the fact that the final round of the series takes place at Brands Hatch, the following weekend.

A1GP is an alternative racing championship to Formula 1.  it deliberately removes technological and innovative advantages from the cars to ensure that all drivers compete from a level playing field.
