Councils to use cameras to issue parking fines

Whatever next?
I was towed yesterday from a parking bay in central London - with 3 baby sits jammed across the back seat, because the bay was suspended for building work. The fact that it was Sunday with no building work going on obviously didn't matter.
I had to drag 3 screaming kids across London (not to mention the near impossibility of boarding a bus without some form of prepayment!) to the pound, where £320 later I got my car back.
Absolutely disgraceful.

The Councils have been given a green light by the government to extort money from motorists via parking fines, as well as speed cameras. As a lot of these schemes are self financing it's in their interest to fine motorists as much as they can in order to keep their schemes running. It is indeed disgraceful.
